3D printing material manufacturer Polymaker has partnered up with Italian electric automobile company X Electric Vehicle (XEV) to produce the first-ever mass-produced car made with 3D printing – the LSEV. Aside from the chassis, seats and window, every other component in the LSEV will be produced via 3D printing technologies.

According to XEV, the vehicle is expected to be available to consumers sometime in 2019. More specifically, sources from the company expect it to hit the Chinese market around April of 2019. The company also provided that over 7,000 vehicles have been ordered by the Italian postal service and a vehicle leasing company names ARVAL.

The LSEV tops out at 45 miles per hour and features a range of about 90 miles. XEV expects China to be their largest market, and is already in negotiations to begin production on mainland China.
